...Til the Fat Lady Sings

I'm in Sherrie Sinclair's Character Design for Drawing and Cartoons class, and we're about halfway through the maquette assignment. Here's a rough of what she's supposed to look like...Thank you G and Quoc for your help!

hey Terry. Stumbled onto your blog. awesome that you have one. Glad you left in the dinner plate sized nipples. Adds a lot of character. hehe.

Thanks, Quoc, for all the input. Yeah, I like the dinner plate size, too...but I think I'll leave out the braille bumps...

I've been thinking about AAU. I've looked at a lot of schools and catalogs, but AAU seems to have a pretty good mix of both 2D and 3D classes. (most schools other than CalArts are almost totally 3D) Are you doing a degree with 2D emphasis ?

Hi, 2d animation student! Yeah, if you're an undergraduate student, you are required to take 2 2d classes, and then like 4 or 5 3d classes. It IS a nice balance. I would say that if you do come to AAU, just try to get into the Pixar classes as soon you can, and you'll love it!

No, I'm not doing a 2d major is character animation, but 3d. I would love to be 2d, but I've already taken my 2 classes, and don't plan on taking any more.(I want to, but it's so expensive at our school, and I don't have enough energy nor skill to do both 2d and 3d!)

And to tell you the truth, I really wish I had gone to CALARTS!!!
